Rajitha and Jon’s Hindu and Jewish Fusion Wedding

Preview_107.jpg

Jon and Rajitha wanted to celebrate their love, while also celebrating their cultural and religious differences. They decided to create their own rules and host a ceremony that incorporated elements of Jon’s Jewish heritage, and Rajitha’s Hindu culture. For example, Jon wore a kippah, broke glass at the end of the ceremony and had guests yell “Mazel Tov!” But they also followed major traditions of Hindu ceremony, such as the mandap, the exchange of jai mala, and the saptapadi. The ceremony took place in the spacious Greenhouse Loft, which allowed the couple the perfect amount of space to put up the mandap and allow all the guests to see the ceremony.

What was Fierce about this Wedding

The gorgeous fusion ceremony! We love when clients make their own traditions, and bring in elements of their culture into their wedding. As an honorary mention—the cats! We always love when our clients incorporate their pets into their wedding. Jon and Rajitha even based their stationary, and some design elements off their fur babies.
