3 years in the making, Michele and Brad finally got married on May 28, 2021. We pushed through the pandemic, and made sure we could still celebrate their love in a grand, and safe way. What made it even more special: it was a destination wedding at Elms Mansion in New Orleans! Originally they leaned towards a colorful Pop Culture themed wedding, but ended up simplifying it and leaning a bit more into a Star Wars theme. They kept with the colorful palette with their florals, and had gorgeous bright bouquets from Duia and Jean. Though once the reception hit, the floral decor was a more tropical “Jurassic Park vibe”. For dessert, Bittersweet Confections made them a delicious naked cake with berries, and white florals on top. For the ceremony, instead of having flower children prepare for the processional, they had floral ladies strutting down the aisle throwing petals from fanny packs. YES! At the end of the night, Michele and Brad lead a Second Line Parade out of the mansion and into the venue’s courtyard. Guests danced the night away while waving lightsabers into the night sky. It was a truly magical night, and worth the wait!

Fierce Moments:

Brad and Michele are huge Star Wars fan, and wanted to incorporate as many Star Wars ideas as possible. They added Star Wars figurines into the boutonnieres, had Star Wars donuts, and they even had Storm Troopers at the wedding!! We were able to secure 501st Legion, a large volunteer based group of Storm Troopers. They constantly appear at large events, hospital visits, and allow Make a Wishes to happen. You may have also seen them as extras in the Disney+ show, The Mandalorian. Having them at the event was a huge honor to the clients, and allowed for some awesome photos with guests.
