In this styled shoot we took inspiration from the style of Art Nouveau and created an artistic, romantic wedding at a Historic Mansion in Chicago. Art Nouveau was most popular between the 1890s and 1910s. One of the most influential artists of that period was Alphonse Mucha. We used a lot of the images and colors that are iconic for Mucha in this shoot. The historic Chicago mansion that the shoot took place was built in 1909 and showcases a lot of Arts & Crafts design, stained glass windows and even Art Deco so it was the perfect location for this shoot! Plus the mansion was directly across the street from Lake Michigan so the blues you see used below are heavily influenced by the color of the lake!

WHAT’S FIERCE ABOUT THIS SHOOT

The juxtaposition of vintage meeting modern elements. We were inspired by the traditional bouquets of the 1920s but we wanted to add a modern twist. We are also living for the jumpsuit by Monique Lhuillier and the crown / bouquet by Persephone Floral! This bold and stylish look is super FIERCE. We always encourage our couples to bring out their personal style. Ignore what everyone else is doing and rock what you love to wear! We even took inspiration from the model’s tattoos. We wanted the color palette to compliment her ink!
