Stephanie and RJ's Colorful Wedding at The Lytle House

Stephanie and RJ, who are New York residents, reached out to the Fierce Productions team with a special request. Despite living hundreds of miles away, they knew they wanted to bring the wedding celebration back to Chicago - where their love story began - and they needed our help to plan the wedding of their dreams from afar.

“This will be a rare moment where all of our loved ones are together, so we want the wedding to be a celebration of love and friendship. We want it to feature lots of greenery, natural light, and vibrant colors.”

To infuse their personalities and heritage into the celebration, Stephanie and RJ opted to include lots of unique personal touches. Textile runners, brought from Guatemala by the bride's family, adorned each guest table, complemented by an array of colorful florals. The dinner menu featured an authentic taco bar and a Puerto Rican buffet station. The ceremony backdrop featured a custom geometric piece adorned with vibrant florals, adding lively pops of color.

Given their shared love for games, the couple incorporated lawn games and board games into the reception for all guests to enjoy. The result was a truly colorful, intimate, and relaxing wedding celebration, reflecting the essence of Stephanie and RJ's journey.

WHAT WAS FIERCE ABOUT THIS WEDDING:

  • The couple’s first dance was a Salsa routine!!

  • The couple celebrated their “nerdy” side by walking down the aisle to the Avatar: The Last Air Bender theme song.

  • They had a bilingual officiant.

  • The gorgeous table runner textiles from Guatemala!
