Christine and Mike's Colorful Karaoke Reception

Christine and Mike eloped in March of 2023, but decided to finally celebrate with loved ones by hosting a joint anniversary, and wedding reception party at Bridge410. The overall atmosphere was a laid back family styled event, but with loads of color and moments of play. The couple wanted the celebration to be more about the experience, so they wanted to make sure there were many unique elements to keep guests entertained. The biggest entertaining detail: they wanted a karaoke corner instead of a dance floor.

There was no official ceremony, just a few speeches, toasts, yard games, a family style bbq, and shared laughter. The venue had both indoor and outdoor spaces, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and transformed the entire venue. For the exterior, we added colorful paper lanterns to create a bubbly cocktail hour atmosphere, and when the sun went down the fairy lights transformed it into a magical evening. For the interior we had loads of fun! The couple didn’t want to focus on florals, but wanted color and hanging installations. For the dining area, we had paper tassels dangling over bright linens, single mismatched flowers, and pom-poms. For the karaoke room, they had string chandeliers as the backdrop, a glitter photo-booth background, champagne, and macarons for guests to enjoy!

Fierce About this Event

  • We loved the colorful tablescapes made of minimal flowers and pom-poms. It was such a blend of textures, color, and atmosphere, and it was wonderfully complimented by the paper ceiling installation.

  • Instead of a dance floor, the “required” everyone to sing a karaoke song as part of their reception.

  • They had custom hanging string chandeliers as a karaoke backdrop.

  • Instead of paper escort cards, they had macarons as escort cards. Guests could find them on a decorated shelf, with a glass of champagne.

  • Instead of a classic wedding cake, they had a dessert food truck stationed in the outdoor courtyard for guests to enjoy custom churros.

  • To help guests mingle, the couple got everyone a name tag! Guests could then customize them with stickers to share how they knew the couple

  • Instead of a classic guest book, guests could write tiny messages and leave them in a frame.

  • They were able to celebrate with their dog.

    Kind words from Christine:

“Many of the the party planning companies I'd talked to seemed confused or uncomfortable with this slightly unconventional request - but not Fierce! They had great ideas, great advice and went out of their way to find vendors, decor and ideas that exactly matched our vision.”
