Caryn and Katie’s Lawn Cocktail Party

Caryn and Katie had to postpone their OG wedding due to the pandemic - but both of them wanted to still get married, so they held an intimate ceremony in 2020 and a reception in 2021! They decided to skip the formal ceremony and just have a party with all their loved ones. There was a longer 90 min cocktail reception with lawn games like corn hole, giant JENGA, and connect 4. The Greenhouse Loft was the perfect space to host guests with the tall windows, and access to a gorgeous lawn. The weather was perfect, allowing guests to enjoy a lovely dinner and dancing outside. We loved helping them re-imagine a wedding celebration that didn’t begin with an expected ceremony.

WHAT WAS FIERCE ABOUT THIS WEDDING:

Caryn and Katie decided to surprise their guests with a fabulous Chicago Drag Queen—Muffy Fish Basket. Muffy delivered some fabulous performances, and was even an MC for a few games about the couple. Guests loved the surprise and were laughing and dancing and having a blast. It was a great way to end the night, and it truly made it a celebration guests would never forget!
